The tempering device for the injection unit and the tools or cold runners induce about 20% of the total energy consumption of the rubber injection moulding machine. Therefore, energy consumption is to account for mainly the built-in pumping device of the tempering device. By means of an intelligent, demand-based control of power flow, energy consumption of the tempering device is reduced by up to 80% while regulation performance is improved significantly.
